Without forgetting that we are located right in the centre of the old quarter of a university and monumental city, the old University must be visited (200 metres away) as well as the Pontificia University (100 metres away), the New and old Cathedral (50 Metres away), the Plaza Mayor (150 metres away), etc. The region of Salamanca has immense beauty, where we can find charming villages with fascinating history, such as La Alberca, Candelario, Miranda del Castañar, Peña of France… Another interesting tourist route is that of Ledesma and Los Arribes, northeast of the province, all along the right coast of the rivers Tormes and Duero until this one reaches Portugal. Charro must not be forgotten, occupying the entire centre of the province’s land and giving Salamanca a unique landscape.
