Pousada Vila Viçosa - Vila Viçosa- Region: Alentejo/Formerly a 16th Century Convent, located in the same square as the favorite royal residence of the House of Braganca in Portugal.

The Pousada Vila Viçosa is set in the former Convent of Chagas de Cristo in the historical village of Vila Viçosa. With its very characteristic intricate thematic rooms full of legends and tales, the Pousada has kept the convent cells, the retreats and the oratories intact which were built by the nuns.

Convento do Belmonte Pousada *** Belmonte (Beira Alta)

Very near Belmonte, where Pedro Álvares Cabral was born, the Belmonte Pousada is the result of the reconstruction of the ruined Convent of Nossa Senhora da Esperança, with the small 13th century chapel.
