Almost 1000 meters above sea level, the Hotel Pousada de Marvao is situated in the unspoilt 13th century Marvao in the Alentejo region of Portugal.

The small traditional houses of Marvão, a medieval town with walls dating from the thirteenth century, seem to squeeze the narrow little streets that wind between them.
