Roncesvalles (60 km) – The small collegiate church in Roncesvalles has been a popular place of Catholic pilgrimage along the Way of St. James since the middle ages. In part this is because it is the first place to rest after crossing the French Pyrenees. Every year thousands of pilgrims begin their way to Santiago at Roncesvalles.
